Peaches
Grower: Dawson’s Orchards
Care:
Store peaches at room temperature until ripe. Refrigerating peaches before they are ripe can lead to loss of flavor and texture. After they ripen on the counter top, place them in a plastic bag in the refrigerator.
Recipe: Grilled Peach, Rice & Arugula Salad, Peach Pie Biscuit Bombs, Peach and Goat Cheese Bruschetta, Three Cheese Peach and Prosciutto Pizza with Basil and Honey Balsamic Reduction
Sugar Snap Peas
Grower: Clarion River Organics Certified Organic
Store: These peas are fairly perishable and will decrease in flavor if stored for more than a few days. Keep them in a plastic bag in the refrigerator. Sugar-snap peas should last for up to 5 days, will be better if eaten sooner.
Recipe: Sauteed Sugar Snap Peas, Lemon Snap Peas, Charred Snap Peas
French Heritage Tomatoes
Grower: Weeping Willow Farm
Store: At room temperature on a plate not in plastic, keep out of sunlight. Keep in mind that storing in a refrigerator can make tomatoes mealy and the skin dry. If you find that your tomatoes are not yet ripe, let them ripen on your counter top for a few days.
Recipe: Ricotta Heirloom Tomato Tart (Gluten Free), Smoked Cheddar Grits with Broiled Heirloom Tomatoes, Heirloom tomato, peach and cucumber salad
Garlic
Grower: Blue Goose Farm
Store: Garlic bulbs can be kept in a mesh or wire basket, a small bowl with ventilation holes or even a paper bag. Do not store fresh garlic bulbs in plastic bags or sealed containers. This can cause mold and sprouting.

Zucchini
Grower: Kistaco Farm
Store: To store zucchini in the fridge, keep the squash whole, dry and unwashed. Store them in a plastic or paper bag with one end open to encourage air circulation, and pop them in the refrigerator crisper drawer.
