Grower: Dawson’s Orchards

Store: Pears will continue to ripen off the tree (indeed, they really have to ripen off the tree to avoid a woody texture). So if your pears are a little green and firm, just leave them at room temperature and they’ll finish up nicely. Then you can refrigerate them.

Store: Store at room temperature in a dry location like the kitchen counter or cupboard for up to 1 month.

Store: Store unwashed beans in a reusable container in the crisper drawer of the refrigerator.  They should keep for 7-10 days.

Store: Refrigerate in a bag.  Do not wash until you’re ready to use it.

Shredded Green Cabbage Salad with Lemon and GarlicGreen Cabbage

Grower: Blue Goose Farm

Store:  Place the whole head of cabbage in a perforated plastic bag and store it in the refrigerator crisper. An uncut head of green cabbage will keep for at least two weeks. Once a head of cabbage is cut, cover the cut surface tightly with plastic wrap and use the rmainder within a day or two.
